Spartan Online
At ROCORI Schools, we create an environment that enables students to experience a structured, sensitive, and positive learning environment.
Spartan Online uses an asynchronous online learning model that is self paced and uses a learning management system (Edgenuity). Students have access to Spartan Online teachers for help and feedback as they do their schoolwork remotely. Spartan Online students are also eligible to participate in all ROCORI school activities if they would like to, as long as they meet ROCORI eligibility requirements.
Spartan Online Student Expectations
- Students understand and will adhere to ROCORI School Districts attendance & truancy policies.
- Students must login weekly for at least 10 hours and make progress in each course to be counted as present.
- Students must also follow all pertinent ROCORI Student Handbook policies, especially regarding plagiarism. If a student is continually being flagged for plagiarism, they may be removed from the Spartan Online program and not receive credit for their courses completed.
- Students planning to earn a diploma from ROCORI High School must meet all graduation requirements/credits.
- Students who fail more than 2 courses per trimester will be put on an Academic Probation Period. If they fail to recover from their Academic Probation Period, students may be removed from the Spartan Online program.
- Students must earn a grade of 60% or higher to receive a passing grade for each course.
- Due to the more independent nature of online learning, students and parents/guardians understand that continued communication (whether via email, phone call, or online messages) between teacher and student will be critical to the success of the student in their online learning.
Graduation Requirements
Students must successfully complete and earn passing grades for the following required courses and credits, and also complete the Minnesota State Graduation Requirements. Spartan Online Students will graduate with a ROCORI High School Diploma.
