Back to School
In the ROCORI secondary building, the sixth grade students will start the year with the In-Person model. They will be on campus full time every day. Social distance is recommended and hand washing, general cleaning, health screening, and other safety protocols will continue to keep students safe.
The 7th-12th grade students will be on an A/B every other day hybrid schedule to start the year. In this model, half of the students in the 7th-12th grades would attend each day on an alternating schedule to keep classrooms under 50% capacity. This schedule will be in place from September 10th- September 18th. During this time we will continue to work with county and state officials to monitor our COVID numbers to determine if we can move to our In-Person model on September 21st or if we will continue in the hybrid model. We are working on the student schedules and the A & B day student groups and will get the information out to you as soon as we have it completed. Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate through our back to school plans.
This year, due to restrictions and space capacity, we are not able to conduct our traditional back to school open houses as we have in the past. Prior to starting class this fall each student will have an “entrance conference” with their homeroom teacher or advisor in the building to get information and complete back to school tasks (ex. school pictures, lunch payments, etc.). We ask that each student sign up for and attend a conference with one parent or guardian. Sign up will be completed through Skyward under the “conference” tab in the main menu and will open on Monday, August 24th. Conferences will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 8th and 9th from 10:00 AM- 8:00 PM.
10th – 12th Grade Supply List. Students are expected to have general school supplies available. Suggested examples: Backpack, writing utensils (pens/pencils), highlighters, notebooks, & folders. ROCORI students in 10th- 12th grade have many class offering available and therefore diverse schedules. Students should follow advice from their CORE and elective course teachers in regards to unique school supplies.
