Senior Planning Information
Many of the colleges both public and private offer free application submission at different times during the year based on a variety of factors. Here are some very valuable links (with descriptions) to look at when making decisions about where and when to apply.
Important Dates to Remember:
Monday, September 30th: College Information Night 6:30
Wednesday, October 30th: College Application Night 5:30 - 7:30
Monday, November 4th: FAFSA Information Night 5:30 - 7:30
If applying at a MnSCU college and you have also completed College in the High School classes at ROCORI you will need to activate your STAR ID. To get started follow these steps:
- Go to: https//starid.mnscu.edu
- Click on: activate your STAR ID
- Click on: Activate STAR ID
- Click on: Tech ID (student ID) students can get this from their counselor at school
- You will then have to select Fond du Lac TCC from the drop down options and enter your Tech ID number as well as your Social Security Number.
- You will then be given your STAR ID number and be asked to develop a password.
- Save this STAR ID and Password in your records
Here is a link of Minnesota public and private colleges and universities, including links to their school homepage and admissions information. This list also identifies which schools do not charge fees for applications (during College Knowledge Month and throughout the year) and which schools accept the Common Application.
Students who have limited financial resources and meet the requirements below may use the NACAC Request for Application Fee Waiver Form (toolkit, l) when applying for college. The form helps ensure that access to college is possible for all students. The form is for traditional high school students applying to post-secondary colleges or universities in the fall immediately following high school graduation.

College Information Night for Junior & Senior Parents
Financial Aid Completion Event
On November 4th, from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM we will offer a Financial Aid Completion event. A college Financial Aid officer will offer help, on the spot, to fill out your students financial aid (FAFSA) information for their 2020-2021 College school year. If you have any other questions, feel free to call the guidance office or the financial aid office at your college of choice. This event will take place in the Media Center. More details and sign-up to follow at a later date.
College Representatives/Recruiter Visits
College Admissions Representatives as well as Military Recruiters are allowed to visit with students, who are interested, during their lunch time. Their scheduled days are also posted on the monitor at school.
