Middle School Knowledge Bowl

  • Knowledge Bowl is a fun competition consist of a written round (whole team works together to answer questions) and three oral rounds (compete against two other teams in a room working as a team to answer questions). It is similar to parts of Academic Triathlon.

  • Meets usually have themes with prizes awarded for best costumes. Dressing up is voluntary, but it is fun.

  • Coach is Mrs. Shaddrick (Media Center)

  • Activity fee: $60 (payable in the Activities office or via RevTrak)

  • First meet is Monday, Oct. 28. Last meet is Monday, Dec. 2

  • Students may participate in other activities at the same time as Knowledge Bowl.

  • Informational meeting Tuesday, Sept. 16, after school in the media center. If you can’t make it, please speak to Mrs. Shaddrick in the media center.

  • We will be working concessions Sept. 30th for the volleyball game. We need as many people to work as possible.

The team leaves from school (meet in front of the office right after school) for the meets, and we are usually back to the school by 8 p.m.  Students can purchase a dinner (usually pizza or sandwich with sides and a drink) at the meet or bring their own. It is also good to have a snack for before the competition starts. Parents are welcome to attend the meets.

If you have questions, please see Mrs. Shaddrick, or email at shaddrickm@rocori.k12.mn.us
