Welcome to the Rocori Fishing Team.

We will be having our registration meeting on Thursday February 29th at 5:30pm, at In-Tune Marine in Richmond, MN. Address: 18942 CO Rd 83, Richmond, MN 56368

We will go over what the Rocori Fishing Team is all about and what this program can offer to you. We will have guest speakers Greg Kieke founder of Rocori Fishing Team to talk about MNSATT, Ryan Kieke former alumni of Rocori to speak about Collegiate Bass Fishing and Brian Bengtson from In Tune Marine. Brian is a salesperson at In Tune Marine specializing in fishing boats/ high performance fishing boats which is a passion of his. He has worked within the fishing community all his life in some fashion. He currently fishes several larger tournament events throughout the Midwest including, The Classic Bass Champions Tour, The St. Jude Bass Classic, The Blackfish, The MN BASS State Championship, and this year the Bassmaster Opens Northern Division

Rocori Fishing Team

o We are a fishing team for students 9th-12th grade. Students entering 9th grade (currently in 8th grade) in the spring of 2024 school year are eligible to fish. 12th grade students who have graduated in the spring of 2024 school year are eligible to fish.

o We are a Bass league that fishes Wednesday nights throughout the summer, with an end of the year tournament. We also have a summer long multispecies league that fishes all summer long. The Rocori Fishing Team also fishes in the Minnesota Student Angler Tournament Trail.

Registration fee

o $125 per Student Angler

o Includes: Jersey and Hat. (Please wear when fishing league night, tournament day and/or any other team event) We are very fortunate enough to have many sponsors so it’s the least we can do to show our gratitude.

o Additional jersey are available for boat captain or anyone you may want one for. They will be $65. You will need to add the person’s name and size on the registration form.

o Membership to The Bass Federation. You will need the TBF number if you want to sign up for the Student Angler Tournaments Trail (MNSATT.org) this summer. (I will send out TBF numbers once registration is complete)

o Fishing Industry Discount Package. The team discount package will be emailed to you once I receive your registration. Companies are constantly changing their processes of how they administer their discounts and codes, but I will try my best to keep you on top of the changes.

o Entry fee into all MNSATT tournament.

MN Student Angler Tournament Trail (mnsatt.org)

o The Minnesota student angler tournament trail is a very popular event. There are tournaments across the state to participate in. These tournaments will consist of a two- person team and a boat captain. You are responsible for your own boat and captain for these tournaments.

o Classic Bass is one of Minnesota's most prestigious pro bass circuits and they work very closely with the MN Student Angler Tournament Trail. Classic Bass offers high school students the opportunity to be a boat marshal for the day with a pro angler at their tournaments. You also make $50 and get lunch!! Weekly Bass Fishing League Nights

o We fish on Wednesday nights from 6pm to 9pm. League night will be starting around the first week of June. Still working on dates and lakes. I will send out the schedule at a future date.

o Prizes are handed out for 1st thru 5th place, biggest bass, smallest bag stringer of 3 fish, and random drawing.

o We will hold an end of the year bass tournament. The date has not been determined but most likely be sometime in August. This will be a full day event, followed by a banquet with some very nice prizes.

• Boat and Boat Captain

o Students MUST PROVIDE their own boat and captain who is 18 years or older. (Boat captains are expected to keep students safe and keep students honest when registering fish.)

o Boat must have current registration.

Fishdonkey App

o We will be using the fishdonkey app. this summer for our Wednesday night bass league fishing events. Please download the fishdonkey app. and create an account. Then select the tourney "Practice Entering a Fish" There is no charge for this. Once I have that week’s event set up, you will need to sign up for it thru the fishdonkey app.

o In addition to our league events, we will also be having a season long fishdonkey tourney which will start June 12th, 2024. Categories will be largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, musky, northern pike, catfish, sunfish, and crappie.
