ROCORI Activities Information:

Winter activity practices have resumed starting on Monday, January 4th.  Contests are scheduled to start on or after January 14th.  Winter seasons will extend later into March/April with spring activities projected to start a little later in March but still have full seasons.  The MSHSL is still working on playoff plans for winter seasons and will probably happen in March.

Middle school basketball players can sign up for their in-house teams and will begin practice on January 18th.  Players in all activities can still sign up even though the seasons have started.

If students have questions, they should contact coaches in each sport or the activities office.  We are excited to get our students participating again.  Please be supportive of our coaches during these challenging times.

January 4th Winter high school practices start, including weight room

January 14th Starting dates for contests.

January 18th Start of RMS Basketball

Spectator Guidelines:

The MSHSL has shared the recent allowance of spectators at events guidelines.  These guidelines are similar to last fall with indoor restrictions of 25% capacity and up to 150 max.  The players/coaches/workers pod is considered separate.

Family members will be given priority with each player having the possibility of purchasing 2 tickets online prior to the event.  All home B, JV and Varsity events will be charged $6 online and no passes will be accepted.  If the 9th grade is in the RHS Gym, tickets will also need to be purchased.  The program ROCORI will use will be shared with coaches and families to purchase these tickets.  Coaches will be given access for away ticket options to share with families as each school may have a different policy for spectators.

Spectators will be asked to properly social distance, not gather in groups during or after games and wear masks at all times.  Please adhere to these guidelines when attending events.  If there are any questions, please contact the ROCORI Activities Office at 320-685-4913 or 320-685-4917.

What You Need to Do to Participate in a FALL ACTIVITY/WINTER ACTIVITY/SPRING ACTIVITY

Parents/Students – You need to fill out the 2020-2021 MSHSL Eligibility form (ONLINE ONLY).  You will find the link to this form on the ROCORI Activities home page.  You need to complete the form once per school year.  A current physical must be on file every three (3) years.  The MSHSL did make a change to Bylaw 107-Physical Examinations for the 2020-2021 school year.  The expiration date of all student physicals that expired prior to or during the 2020-2021 school year has been extended through the completion of the 2020-2021 school year.  If you have any questions concerning your students physical date, please call the Activities Office at 320-685-4917.

We are requesting that you pay the activity fee on RevTrak.  If this does not work for you, we will accept a check or cash.

Dear ROCORI Supporters,

With the beginning of another school year, we have officially launched our annual ROCORI Spartans Booster Club membership drive for 2020-21 and I wish to thank you for your past support of ROCORI Athletics.  This has been an unprecedented fall with numerous changes and adjustments to all activities and our students and programs need our continued support.

Within the past couple of months, the ROCORI Booster Club announced our project for a multi-purpose turf field located on ROCORI’s Secondary School campus. The project, which is fully funded through private gifts, is currently underway with a target completion date in early November. It will be ready for use early next spring as the new home for boys and girls soccer, 9-12 football, boys and girls lacrosse, and it will serve as needed as a practice facility for softball, baseball, track and field, dance team and band. The field will also be an outdoor classroom for physical education for elementary, middle school and high school students for decades to come.

A project of this size would not be possible without the outstanding support from our community. Each year ROCORI families, along with our business and corporate partners, come together to help provide significant resources that allow our student athletes to compete at a high level through conference, section and state competition. This past year, the ROCORI Spartans Booster Club provided over $80,000 to help our coaches and student athletes succeed. In addition to larger projects, this important direct support will continue. Our primary mission is to fund extraordinary expenses and projects that are central to sustaining our proud athletic tradition. The new multi-purpose turf field reflects this mission.

Please consider renewing your membership at one of our three membership levels: Red, Black or White.  In November/December we will update the large gymnasium banner with the names of all members for the 2020-21 year. You may send your membership by mail using the enclose form or join online at rocoriboosterclub.com.  Thanks for your consideration and generosity.  Go Spartans!

Warm Regards,

John Young
