Minnesota Women's Golf Association Foundation

The MWGA is offering a scholarship to female students who plan to attend a 4 year college program. Applicants must be US citizens and resident's of Minnesota.  Applicant must have a 3.2 GPA.  The scholarship is based on scholastic rating, financial need and quality of character as demonstrated by academic and civic activities and achievements.  Although skill or excellence in the game of golf is not a criterion, candidates shall demonstrate an involvement in the sport.

George W. Friederich Scholarship

George W. Friedrich was a long time member of the Lion's Club organization. As an officer and volunteer, he consistently demonstrated his commitment to serving his community and the people within it. Based on his involvement and strong community support, the criteria for this scholarship are as follows:
• Past and current community service/activities
• Upper 50% of class or otherwise deserving
• Must attend either a college/university or technical college
• Involvement in any extracurricular activities
• Completed application form and one page typed essay must be submitted to the selection committee by March 08, 2018. (Strongly emphasize one page)
• Submit an essay explaining the following: “How you have, and how you will continue to serve your community and the people within it”.
