No, this game has NOTHING to do with pickles!  It’s a cross between tennis & ping pong, & can be played inside or outside.

Come try it out!

Overnight Casino Trip

The next overnight trip to Jackpot Junction Hotel and Casino is scheduled for Sunday, January 15, to Monday, January 16.  This is Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend so maybe we can attract some of you who haven’t yet retired.  Jackpot Junction is raising their hotel prices by $5.00 per room in 2017, so, trip costs are:  $50 if you’re sharing a double room, $70 for singles and $100 for couples.  The price includes $30 for the bus and everyone gets $50 added to their reward cards.  Free room coupons will also be honored.  Please sign up and pay in the senior center as soon as possible.  Checks can be made out to ROCORI Senior Center.  You do not have to be a senior center member to participate.  Please join us; we’re a fun group!

ROCORI Senior Center Fund

Leave a Legacy on Behalf of the Center!

The ROCORI Senior Center has an investment fund within the ROCORI Area Community Foundation, which is administered through the Central Minnesota Community Foundation.  The senior center fund is always ready for anyone wishing to designate a part or all of their estate towards the long-term sustainability of the ROCORI Senior Center.  Please keep the ROCORI Senior Center Fund in mind when doing your estate planning!

Please Save Your Teals’ Receipts

Please drop your Teal’s receipts in the basket by the book library.  Every dollar adds up when trying to operate our center.  We also collect labels and box tops for education for the ROCORI School District.

New to the Area?

Are you recently retired or a newcomer to our community?  If so, please feel free to stop in to the Center for a quick tour and a rundown of our regular activities.   Membership is not required, however, we encourage everyone to voluntarily contribute $5 per person for an annual support fee.  If you visit, please remember to come in using Door 1 on the west side of the District Education Facility.  Door 5, closest to the senior center, is always locked during the school year.

ROCORI Book Club

Third Tuesday of each month at 4:00 PM in the ROCORI Senior Center.  Discussions usually last about an hour.  We welcome all adults from our community.  Please come and join us for an enjoyable time.

“Like” Us on Facebook!

Please find ROCORI Senior Center on Facebook and click “join” to keep up to date with senior center activities.  And, if you’re not already on Facebook, please ask Nadine to help you get set up.  She’ll take your photo and set your Facebook account up.  Please make sure you also keep the center up-to-date on any address changes and give us your email address.  Email and social media really appeal to the baby boomer generation.
