Rachel McDougall

Hello! I’m Rachel McDougall, one of the Kindergarten teachers at CSE. I’m not originally from the area as I grew up outside of Granite Falls, MN but I’m so happy to be here in Cold Spring. Growing up I was one of those people that always knew I wanted to teach. So when the time came, I attended the University of Minnesota, Morris where I received my degree in Elementary Education.

After college, in my job search, I landed in the St. Cloud area.  I taught preschool for 4 years at Brighter Beginning Child Care Center. I then moved back home to teach in a Kindergarten/1st Grade classroom before coming back to the area to substitute teach in this and surrounding area school districts. I am thrilled to say this is my fifth year teaching Kindergarten at Cold Spring Elementary.

I live in Cold Spring with my husband, Kyle and our daughter, Allie (4). There is nothing better than spending my time playing and laughing with my little girl. I also love to read all kinds of books and listen to music. I’ve recently picked up running again but my favorite exercise is yoga.  Some of my other favorite things: being outside, gardening, and sunsets!
