Important information for the 2014 ROCORI Heat JO Season.
Our ROCORI Heat Tournament is coming up the weekend of March 8th and 9th. I need someone to shadow the tournament directors so that the tournament will continue to run smoothly in the future. Players, this is also an opportunity to earn volunteer hours helping set-up or working the concession stand. This project is our only opportunity to raise funds for our club. If this is not a success, each family will have to contribute a fairly significant amount to pay our coaches, our rental fees as well as the custodian fees.
Please open the work sign up sheet for our tournament and sign your teams up for times to work, email back to me (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I will keep it updated here so all will know when help is needed.
The Activities Department is once again hosting it's Kids Carnival for grades 3 thru 8 on Friday, March 21st from 3:00 until 6:00. Last year our club helped run an activity of passing the ball to target (a hula hoop) and the players had a good time helping teach the kids and cheering them on. Proceeds from this carnival help support our high school activities with equipment, uniforms etc. The prizes are provided, all we need to do is provide workers. Again a great opportunity to earn community service hours. Players if you are willing to help, please stop in the guidance office and sign up with me.

I just want to remind all parents that we need to set good examples for our athletes and that includes RHS Activiites as well as our JO Club. We want to be Central Minnesota's Standard of Excellence in all things. Let's keep in mind to think before you speak, that the athlete your critizing is someone's daughter, let's use positive and encouraging comments. Along with that, let the coaches coach and the official officiate (whether adult or students).
