Health Announcements

Influenza A has arrived in the District. Please monitor your child for fever and either a cough or sore throat. If you bring your child into the clinic within the first 24 hours of fever your provider may subscribe Tamiflu which can shorten the life of the flu. Influenza is a respiratory illness not to be confused with the common flu which is accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Please let the school know if your student has had a diagnosis of Influenza. February is supposed to be the worst month for influenza this year. The "flu shot" is given for influenza and despite getting the flu shot this year many are getting influenza.
