Civics is a required class intended for 9th graders or for students entering the ROCORI school system who have not yet completed their state requirement for graduation in the area of state and national government. The class will instruct students in areas connected to their rights, duties, and responsibilities as citizens of the United States and residents of the state of MInnesota. Students will also gain an understanding of the Federal system of government and the workings of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of government as well as how they can interact with these parts of government.
